As you may have noticed, we’ve been reconfiguring the road access here at Emmaus Village Carlton to pave the way for a new drop-off area and building.

Our builders and companions have been working hard to create an improved road layout accessing the new drop-off area and warehouse, which will be bigger and more easily accessible for our customers.

Our Reuse and Recycle Manager, Steve, said: “We’re really excited with this new drop-off area which will make the whole experience simpler and easier for customers, with designated access for cars.

“It will make dropping off items a much easier process for our customers and will also be an improved working environment in the warehouse for our companions.”

Site and Maintenance Manager, Matt, said: “It’s been great to involve our companions in this project too by giving them the opportunity to be involved in the building works.

“A big thanks to the small team working in this area to lay the concrete base for the new building and to help re-landscape the nearby grounds. You’ve done a fantastic job!”

To install the brand-new building, we will be closing our drop-off facility from Wednesday 1st May until Tuesday 14th May, so will be unable to accept general donations during this time.

We will, however, still be accepting furniture donations during the closure period if these are dropped off at the rear of the Home Store.

The new drop-off facility opens on Wednesday 15th May. Please follow the signage directing you to the new area.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience the temporary closure may cause.

*Please note we are still not accepting donations of electrical items until further notice.
