Do you have experience in electronics? Are you keen to use your skills and knowledge to extend the life of household electrical items whilst supporting a good cause? We’re looking for volunteers to help check and test electrical items at the Emmaus South Manchester Emporium in Wythenshawe. If you have time to spare, skills to give and want to help grow a new homelessness charity, then we want to hear from you.

 

Main duties

  • To function and safety test household electrical goods
  • To accurately record and label tested items

Skills and experience needed

  • Experience and knowledge of electronics and/or PAT testing
  • An understanding of household electrical goods
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Respect for the organisation’s policies
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and a positive, can do attitude.

Time commitment

Our Emporium is open Wednesday to Saturday and we are looking for a volunteer who can commit to at least 1 day per week (10am-4pm).
