Items which we cannot sell and would require us to pay for disposal. This includes anything dirty, damaged or with missing parts.
Furniture and homeware:
- Upholstered furniture or homeware that does not have a relevant fire safety label (unless pre-1950)
- Soft furnishing without relevant fire label e.g. cushions
- Blinds without original packaging and safety instructions
Electricals:
- Sunbeds and tanning equipment
- Electric blankets
- Electric showers
- Power tools
Sharps and weapons:
- ANY AND ALL sharps and weapons. You can take these to your local police station.
Heating and cooking appliances:
- Gas appliances
- Gas cylinders
- Storage heaters
- Electric cookers
Sports and safety equipment:
- Life jackets
- Safety helmets
- Crash helmets
- Climbing equipment
- Buoyancy aids
- Inflatable dingies
- Safety pads
Children’s items:
- Car seats or booster seats
- High chairs
- Used breast pumps or sterilisers
- Cot bumpers
- Pram and cot mattresses
Software and hardware:
- Printers
- Used hard drives and SD cards
- Home recorded media
Clothing:
- Used underwear
- Used swimwear
- Fancy dress costumes without fire safety labels
- Animal furs
- Anything without a keep away from fire label
Miscellaneous:
- Pornographic or adult materials and accessories
- Flammable items such as spray paint, fireworks, fuel and fuel equipment or fire lighters.
- Any form of vaping/smoking or drug paraphilia, apparatus or accessories
- Counterfeit, fake or imitation products
- Culturally insensitive items
- Any items that are made from ivory or endangered species
- Chemical/hazardous items such as cleaning agents, solvents, paints, adhesive or poisons
