Honour for our CEO
Tony was presented with a long service award for making an outstanding contribution to Emmaus Bolton at Emmaus National Assembly.
Anyone over the age of 18 is able to request a place in the community. We ask everyone to take part in community life and our social enterprises.
We do not operate a waiting list and therefore admittance is on a first come basis. Unlike other homelessness charities, there is no restriction as to the length of stay – companions are welcome to live in the community until they are ready to move on.
Give your time, skills and talents to support our charity. We have a variety of different roles on offer and are always looking for local volunteers to get involved.
Meet new people, have fun and do something rewarding with your time. Come and join our friendly team and be part of our community.
TikTikor Adam Crolla - Adcro“If you’re anywhere near Bolton, come and check out Emmaus Bolton. It’s well worth it for a day out. Get your lunch as well and get one of those ice creams afterwards. Look online, there might be an Emmaus near you. It’s worth going and having a nosey and helping out. You are going to be supporting people who are trying to support themselves and it’s a good charity.”
Evelyn Clayton, Headteacher of St Joseph The Worker RC Primary School“We feel we have got a bespoke product that has been made with love and we are delighted that we, in turn, have been able to support the wonderful work happening in Emmaus!”
Emmaus Bolton supporter Janine Jones at our charity cafe“You can afford to bring all the great grandchildren here, not just one, and let them choose from the menu; they don’t have to choose from a kids’ menu.”
Jenny Ramwell, Business Manager at Mersey Drive Community Primary School“The workmanship was amazing. Where the team assisted us with the design has been very good”
Leanne Waring, founder of group fundraising for 'buddi benches' in schools, Be More Ted“Ted would have approved of Emmaus Bolton making the benches because the charity is for people not feeling like a significant member of society. It’s about making sure everyone feels wanted, needed and valued.”
