Emmaus Preston now open
Emmaus Preston re-opened in January 2010 and now has a vibrant Community at The Birches on Ribbleton Lane, in Preston.
Glen Lockett is Director, our Community Leader is Harry Kelly, with Martyn Bevan as Assistant Community Leader. Sarah Bentley has recently joined as Finance Officer.
We now have 13 Companions living in the Community who work collecting and delivering furniture and other household goods which they sell in our shop at 49-50 Friargate; opened by our Emmaus UK President Terry Waite on 29th March.
Feel free to come and browse around the shop in a relaxed atmosphere if you are looking for Pre-owned goods, which include, Sofas,Suites, Beds, Wall and Free Standing Units plus all kinds of tested Electrical goods. You may even find that elusive piece of Art or Bric-a-Brac you have been looking for.
The shop is open on Tuesday, Wednesday morning, Thursday, Friday and Saturday every week from 10.00am - 5pm.
We welcome donations of good saleable items and we are more than happy to collect on Tuesdays and Wednesday.
