One of the most important aspects of the Emmaus ethos is solidarity, helping others who are vulnerable or experiencing difficulties
Our Community Leader Clare and her children did the Eltham Bubble Rush to raise funds for Demelza Children’s Hospice.
Solidarity at Emmaus doesn’t only involve our companions, and our staff members also frequently engage in solidarity activities for other causes.
On Saturday 9th July, our Community Leader, Clare, and her children, ran the Bubble Rush at Avery Hill Park, Eltham, to raise funds for Demelza Children’s Hospice. Demelza delivers care to children facing serious or life-limiting conditions, from first diagnosis and for as long as it is needed. The Bubble Rush event is one of many fundraising activities they carry out to ensure they can keep providing high standards of care.
It was a lovely sunny day bursting through a 5 km-long rainbow of bubbles up to four feet high – running, jogging, dancing and everything in between!
