Volunteers’ Week is here, and Emmaus Gloucestershire is appealing to anyone who is interested in making a real difference in the lives of those who have experienced homelessness. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, accommodating various time commitments and interests. Whether you can spare a few hours or are seeking a more regular commitment, there is a role for you.

In our shops, we welcome volunteers who can assist with sorting stock or provide excellent customer service at the till. Every sale in our shops directly contributes to our mission of supporting individuals on their journey out of homelessness.

If you possess tech-savvy skills, our online sales team is looking for volunteers to help manage our eBay store. This role involves selling unique, valuable, or unusual donated items to raise essential funds. It presents an excellent opportunity to showcase your online selling abilities or gain valuable experience in the field, all in support of a worthwhile cause.

Behind the scenes, we offer volunteering opportunities in our workshop, where you can contribute by conducting Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) on donated electrical items. This essential task ensures that our items meet safety standards. As part of this role, training is provided, enabling you to acquire a valuable qualification too!

Urgently, we are seeking van drivers in Gloucester and Stroud. If you hold a valid driving license and can spare some time to transport furniture and household items, your contribution would have an incredible impact. This role is pivotal in our social enterprise, as it facilitates the collection and delivery of items, enabling our shops to remain open and our accommodation and support services to operate effectively.

If any of these roles have piqued your interest, we invite you to get in touch with us by completing our online form at www.emmaus.org.uk/gloucestershire/volunteer.
