We’re in urgent need of van drivers to volunteer with our homelessness charity. Can you spare a few hours or days per week to help? It’s a great way to support a local charity, meet new people, and use your skills for a good cause.

Volunteer drivers are needed at our Stroud and Gloucester Shops. The role involves driving our vans to deliver and collect pre-loved furniture and other items, as well as doing tip runs. The role directly contributes to the success of our charity and social enterprises, and helps to generate funding to provide accommodation and support to people who have experienced homelessness.

  • Available volunteer days for Gloucester are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for collections and deliveries and Tuesday and Thursday for deliveries and tip runs.
  • Available volunteer days for Stroud are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for collections and deliveries and Monday and Wednesday for deliveries and tip runs.

For insurance purposes, volunteer van drivers must be 25yrs+ and have been driving for 2yrs+.

If you’re interested, please pop into one of our shops for an application pack or complete our online form and someone will be in touch: www.emmaus.org.uk/gloucestershire/volunteer
