Are you homeless or at risk of homelessness? Do you know someone who is? We have spaces available in our Emmaus community.
People joining us live together in our community building located in Gloucester. Everyone gets their own furnished room and there is a shared living room, dining room, kitchen, huge garden, laundry facilities, a gym and computer room.
We can accommodate up to 26 adults at a time. We provide all meals, basic clothing and toiletries, funded training and support within a secure environment. Everyone receives a small weekly allowance, with an additional amount put into a ‘resettlement fund’ for leaving the community. Each person is linked with a support worker and together they agree a tailored support plan to address specific issues, personal development and the future.
Whilst living with us, people are also given a full time role in our social enterprise. This could be helping in one of our four second-hand stores, in our eBay office, or out on the vans collecting and delivering furniture.
To join us, people are required to sign off all benefits with the exception of housing benefit, which goes to Emmaus Gloucestershire to fund our community.
