Nando’s recently had to shut down all their stores due to the coronavirus outbreak. Instead of throwing away their food they decided to cook up a delicious hot lunch for our 25 companions, and delivered it to the community building. They also kindly donated their fresh chicken and food from their fridges to Emmaus Dover.

Not long after their opening in early 2018, the local Nando’s branch has been supporting Emmaus Dover with regular donations of food to the community.

Debbie Stevenson, Community Manager at Emmaus Dover, said: “We can’t thank our local Nando’s enough for their ongoing support. In uncertain times like now it is important that the local community come together and support the most vulnerable in society. The companions at Emmaus Dover were all very grateful to receive such a lovely lunch, as well as Nando’s food supplies – it definitely uplifted everyone in these unsettling times!”

Thank you so much to everyone at Nando’s Dover, we appreciate your ongoing kind support.
