On 10 October, Emmaus Dover will be marking World Homeless Day. This annual event is a chance to reflect upon the needs of people experiencing homelessness in our local community, and beyond. We are currently seeking a new trustee to help support our work, and you could have the passion and skills we need!
Community Manager Debra Stephenson said: “Our trustees are vital to the running of our charity. We are looking someone who is passionate about the work we do, and who will bring a wealth of experience to the role.”
Charities like Emmaus Dover provide a vital lifeline to those who experience homelessness. Government figures released in August estimated that homelessness increased by around 11% in just three months, and with the cost of living continuing to rise in coming months it is anticipated that this figure will continue to rise.
Andrew Eberlein, the Chair of Trustees at Emmaus Dover, said: “‘Ideally we are looking for a new trustee who has either legal, HR or retail skills which would complement the present professional team’ .
