Last week companions who upcycle and refurbish the furniture in our workhouse completed some safety training, to enable them to handle electrical tools safely. The training was held by Kent Tec Training and took half a day to complete, giving attendees a good foundational knowledge of best practice when using electrical tools. Five people took part in the training, and all attendees successfully passed the course. Training like this offers certification and skills which our companions can take with them as and when they are ready to move on from the community.
