We’re named as one of three beneficiary charities for The Bedford Charity Chase 2026

In 2025, over 280 participants took on the five-mile challenge through the stunning grounds and surroundings of Turvey House, cheered on by local supporters including our charity. Our companions and staff manned a water station at this year’s successful event, providing light refreshment to all taking part.

Together, an amazing £7,700 was raised for two local charities – Creating Memories and The Road Victims Trust.

The Bedford Charity Chase is doing it all again on Sunday 27th September 2026 and Emmaus Village Carlton is the third chosen charity set to benefit from this fantastic event.

“Fantastic charity”

Our Chief Executive Officer, Donna-Louise Cobban said: “We are delighted to have been announced as one of The Bedford Charity Chase’s three beneficiary charities for 2026, alongside Creating Memories and The Road Victims Trust.

“The Bedford Charity Chase is a fantastic charity with a cause that is very close to our hearts. Our partnership not only strengthens our ties with these wonderful charities, but with local communities too, fulfilling our mission to work in solidarity with worthy charities and individuals in need.”

“Community impact”

Ken Parsons, Founder of The Bedford Charity Chase, said: “A huge thank you to Emmaus Village Carlton CEO Donna-Louise and the whole Emmaus team for their amazing support at The Bedford Charity Chase this year. The water station they ran in Carlton was fantastic — friendly, and full of encouragement for the runners, even in the rain! It really added to the brilliant community feel of the event.

“Looking ahead to next year’s event on Sunday 27th September 2026, we would be absolutely delighted if Emmaus would become one of the beneficiary charities alongside Creating Memories and The Road Victims Trust. The event was founded to support and celebrate local causes, and Emmaus Carlton embodies exactly that spirit of community impact.”
