We’d like to say a big thank tou to the Bedford RRT (Rapid Relief Team).

They have kindly donated six boxes full of packs of snacks for our Rucksack Stomp team to hand out to local people sleeping rough.

The Rucksack Stomp is a group of companions (people being supported by Emmaus Village Carlton) who volunteer in Northampton and Wellingborough town centres every week, offering help to those sleeping rough. The team arrives carrying large rucksacks filled with food and useful supplies to hand out. Find out more about our Rucksack Stomp.

Bedford RRT team leader Zach Britchford visited us to drop off the boxes. He’s pictured above with companion Christian from the Rucksack Stomp team.

We really appreciate the support of Bedford RRT. RRT is an international charity which offers quality catering assistance and tangible support to charities, government and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges.

Anyone wishing to support the work of the Emmaus Village Carlton Rucksack Stomp can donate to our Appeal online, or drop off sleeping bags as well as warm clothing such as hats, gloves and scarves. Supplies can be dropped off Wednesday – Saturday, 9.30am – 4.30pm and Sunday 10am – 4pm at the Emmaus Village Carlton reception in the Dom Gregory building, School Lane, Carlton MK43 7LQ.
