Our brand new donation drop-off area and building is now open, making it easier to donate goods, thanks to a ‘drive and drop’ access road.
Our builders worked hard to create an improved road layout accessing the new drop-off area and warehouse, which is bigger and more easily accessible for our customers.
Customers donating goods by vehicle just need to turn right into the signposted new access road after entering our grounds, pull up alongside the entrance and drop the goods to our new donation point. They can then continue on to our main customer car park if planning to visit the Bistro, Bric-a-Brac, Boutique or Furniture shops, or exit via the one-way system.
Our Reuse and Recycle Manager, Steve, said: “We’re really excited with this new drive & drop-off area which is making the whole experience simpler and easier for customers, with designated access for cars.
“It will make dropping off items a much easier process for our customers and will also be an improved working environment in the warehouse for our companions.”
Site and Maintenance Manager, Matt, said: “It’s been great to involve our companions in this project too by giving them the opportunity to be involved in the building works.
“A big thanks to the small team of companions working in this area to lay the concrete base, erecting the new building and helping re-landscape the nearby grounds. You’ve done a fantastic job!”
To install the brand-new building, we had to close our drop-off facility for one month while the work was carried out, with the new facility opening on Saturday 1 June. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
*Please note we are still not accepting donations of electrical items until further notice.
