This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual who has administration, reception and  telephone experience with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Emmaus Village Carlton is looking for an Administration Assistant to provide efficient and effective administration support to the community. Tasks will include taking accurate and concise meeting minutes, reception cover, answering the telephone, and supporting our marketing activity by drafting posters and the community internal and external newsletters.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience of working as an administration assistant, including reception cover, and answering the telephone
  • Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Good general computer literacy including windows, excel, PowerPoint, MS Office
  • Taking accurate and concise meeting minutes
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of working with and relating to a diverse range of people
  • Understanding of professional boundaries

Terms of employment

  • Working Hours – 24 hours per week: Working days and hours are flexible and can be discussed and agreed
  • Annual Leave – 23 days per annum, plus 8 bank holidays pro rata
  • Pension – An auto enrolment pension arrangement whereby the employer contributes 5% and employees 3%
