Volunteer Van Driver
Do you have van driving experience and knowledge of the Sussex area? If so, we are looking for dedicated Van Driver Volunteers to assist us on either a 4 hour or 8 hour shift. This is a physical role working as part of a team.
Help to support the Emmaus Sussex social enterprise by carrying out deliveries and collections. If you have time to spare – we would love to hear from you.
Main duties:
- Daily vehicle checks
- Driving and route planning
- Working with companions and volunteers
- Completing paperwork for collections and deliveries
- Responsible for checking secure loading
- Dropping off stock at warehouse
Skills required:
- We’re looking for a dedicated individual with good people skills
- Full, clean driving licence and knowledge of the local area
- Experience of driving a large van
- Can work in a team and are customer-focused
Time commitment:
We’re open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30am – 5:00pm, and you can choose a time that works best for you.

• As an Emmaus volunteer you will be given a full induction when you start
• A staff member and companion will support you throughout your time as a volunteer
• We will offer you an opportunity to develop your skills and experience for a worthwhile cause
• We will look to provide further training where possible
• We will provide you with lunch and travel expenses on the days that you volunteer
