Retail Volunteer
Whether you’re passionate about fashion, enjoy interacting with customers, love vintage treasures, or enjoy creating eye-catching displays, there’s a place for you in our retail team.
Our busy shops offer a wide range of volunteer roles, from sorting bric-a-brac and clothing behind the scenes to helping with visual merchandising and customer service on the shop floor. You’ll have the chance to get involved in one or more of our unique retail spaces, including:
- Our large second-hand superstore
- Outfit, our dedicated clothing and accessories shop
- Our stylish bedroom furniture store
- The Retro Emporium, perfect for fans of all things vintage
No experience is necessary, just a willingness to get stuck in and be part of a friendly team. Volunteering with us is a great way to gain retail experience, meet new people, and support a homelessness charity making a real difference.
About Sussex Emmaus
Sussex Emmaus is a charity that empowers people to overcome homelessness for good. We provide people with a stable home and life-changing, tailored support.
We’re here for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We see the person and their strengths – and help them get their life back on track, based on the future they want to create. As part of a nationwide movement of local Emmaus charities, we equip people with valuable skills, training and work experience to achieve their goals.
Working together, and with your support, we’re ending homelessness one person at a time.
About Emmaus
Emmaus is a unique, secular organisation supporting people affected by homelessness. There are currently over 30 Emmaus communities across the UK, stretching from Glasgow to Dover and Norfolk to South Wales. Collectively, the Emmaus Federation supports more than 1,000 people with experience of homelessness.
