On Friday 21st March, Emmaus Suffolk and Ipswich Town Foundation gathered 30 fundraisers to Portman Road Stadium for a unique sleepout.
Attendees had the opportunity to spend the night under the West Stand concourse and learn more about homelessness and how it is affecting people in Suffolk. Participants took part in a tour of the stadium, a quiz and a panel discussion with Director of Foundation Dan Palfrey, CEO of Emmaus Suffolk Claire Staddon, and Ipswich Town legend Simon Milton.
We’re thrilled to share the final fundraising amount has hit over £13,500. All the funds raised will be split evenly between the two charities, and will have a direct impact supporting those most in need across Suffolk.
Ipswich Town Foundation is the charitable arm of Ipswich Town Football Club and provides impactful and inclusive activities to improve the health and skills of all generations across Suffolk.
As well as raising crucial funds, the Stadium Sleepout provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the work being carried out by both charities to support people in Suffolk.
We’re so thankful for everyone who took part in the event, all those who donated and the staff and volunteers who supported on the night. Your support is going to have amazing impact!
We hope to make the Stadium Sleepout an annual event – get in touch if you’d like to be involved!
