Emmaus Suffolk provides support to residents of the county through our groups in Ipswich and Felixstowe. These groups meet regularly and give those living in the community who may otherwise be isolated or experiencing loneliness and opportunity to meet with other people in a safe and supportive environment.

These groups are free to attend and guests to the group and activities include different craft activities, learning to upcycle items, play games, build puzzles etc. Some people take the opportunity to simply enjoy a cup of tea and a chat with fellow visitors or just find a quiet corner to read a book, knowing there is someone there to talk to if they wish.

At Emmaus Suffolk we understand the difference being engaged in meaningful work can make to people, so group attendees are encouraged to volunteer within our shops if they want to, although there is no pressure to do so. Tasks includes sorting donations, upcycling and cleaning items and serving customers. These activities not only help to develop new skills but also boost the confidence and self-esteem of those volunteering.

Due to current Covid-19 restrictions attendance is by appointment only. Please call Emma on 07393 583914 or email community@emmaussuffolk.org.uk to let us know you are attending.
