We are incredibly grateful to all those who give up their time and energy to fundraise for us here at Emmaus Suffolk in all sorts of wonderful ways.  So we were particularly delighted when our amazing Support Manager Emma volunteered to run a marathon over the month of May to raise money for Emmaus Suffolk.

All was going very well until roughly halfway through the challenge when unfortunately Emma fractured her toe during a run and found herself on crutches and unable to complete the challenge. It looked as though the challenge was going to come to an early end, despite Emma achieving so much already.

That is, however, until our CEO Claire Staddon stepped up to the starting line and is now going to get the Emmaus Suffolk marathon effort across the finish line. With just under half a marathon to run in just a few days, Claire has a challenge ahead but we know she can do it – good luck Claire!

You can show your support to Emma and Claire by donating here. All money raised will go straight back into funding the work we do here at Emmaus Suffolk to tackle social isolation and support those who are experiencing unemployment or are at risk of homelessness.
