Emmaus Suffolk is committed to community engagement, and we take great pride in providing a variety of accessible activities freely available for local people, in a friendly, warm, welcoming and supportive atmosphere at a variety of venues in Ipswich.

Due to popular demand we are looking for a new team member to join our growing organisation to provide fun, creative activities at our Hubs. This would be flexibly working weekdays and Saturdays.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • The role of Hub co-ordinator is fundamental to the participant’s sense of well-being and social enhancement through creative activities and having fun!
  • Plan, organise and run a varied and stimulating programme of activities.
  • Ensure a weekly and monthly schedule of activities, working with the other Hub Co-ordinators.
  • Manage a small budget.
  • Help provide the opportunity for creative and emotional social interaction and enjoyment.
  • A strong team player, working with the Support Team to identify any hidden support needs.
  • Monitor the effects of the activities programme and write brief notes on each individual/group activity session undertaken through a web-based system.

This is a one year contract, 21 hours per week, working three days out of 6, on a 6 day rota. Benefits include 28 days annual leave pro rata, flexible working and significant opportunities for learning and development.

  • A proactive and resilient approach, excellent relationship building skills and a flair for adapting your influencing style and approach
  • A creative flair and a love of crafting and working with people.
  • A full driving license.
  • Proficiency using a case management system and Microsoft Office applications.
