We’re launching a brand new food scheme at The Royal Oak to support young families. Parents can feed a family of four for £15 with our new Midweek Family Feast menu!
The kitchen team will be busy each week creating a nutritious traybake to help families through the week and beat the after-school slump. The traybake will be available to eat-in at our community café or to take home with you. A vegan option will also be available each week.
The new deal follows our successful One Pot Wonder scheme that is available every Wednesday & Thursday for just £3.50. We’re proud of our work to fight against food poverty in Ipswich and the wider county and we’re pleased to continue this work with Midweek Family Feast.
Claire Staddon, CEO of Emmaus Suffolk shares “We know January is a tough time for lots of us, after the financial demands of Christmas and increasing energy costs as the weather turns colder. We hope that Midweek Family Feast relieves a bit of that pressure, whether people eat with us or take meals home to reheat, the scheme provides a healthy meal for minimal cost. We invite carers and parents to join us and let us do the hard work for one night each week.”
The Royal Oak is a welcoming, family friendly environment for children of all ages. Every Wednesday and Thursday our wellbeing team host the Kids & Carers Club which encourages parents to get out and meet other families in the local area. The club helps to tackle the loneliness that new carers of young children face. Find out more about Kids & Carers Club and all our hubs here.
Midweek Family Feast will be available at The Royal Oak from Wednesday 15th January. At least two children must be of primary school age to qualify for the deal.
