We are delighted to welcome Laura to the team as our newest Support Worker. Laura brings a wealth of experience in supporting adults with mental health challenges and additional needs. Her passion for helping others aligns with our mission to support individuals who have experienced homelessness and social exclusion.
Upon applying for the role, Laura had the opportunity to visit our supported living accommodation, where she met Claire, our Accommodation and Support Manager. Instantly, she knew Emmaus South Wales was a community she wanted to be part of.
“The Emmaus community, their ethos, and how the companions are supported out of homelessness and back into employment is fantastic,” Laura shares. “At Emmaus, the companions have opportunities to undertake longer-term training and gain qualifications, which opens up new opportunities, all while being provided a safe space to be supported within. There really is a family feel within the Emmaus community, and it is a privilege to be a part of the team!”
We are thrilled to have Laura on board and look forward to the positive impact she will have within our community. Her dedication and experience will undoubtedly make a meaningful difference in the lives of our companions. Welcome to the Emmaus South Wales family, Laura!
