I arrived at Emmaus with nothing. Life circumstances forced me to leave everything behind, and I had no place to go. Faced with the choice of staying and risking my sanity, or leaving, I chose to leave. After spending some time on the streets, someone advised me to reach out to Emmaus, and I did.

When I arrived, I was mentally and emotionally broken, but Emmaus welcomed me with open arms. Their support, kindness, and care helped me rebuild myself, bit by bit. I began working with them and they ensured I received proper mental health support, while always encouraging and guiding me with my best interests at heart.

In less than a year, I have now got a job, completed many courses provided by Emmaus, and even earned my Maths GCSE.

Forever grateful

I am a better person, mentally, emotionally, and physically, thanks to Emmaus. They did everything they could for me and I will always be grateful.

Becoming homeless is not a choice. Sometimes life puts you in situations where living on the streets seems like the only option. However, Emmaus offers immense help, and they do so selflessly.

Del, Vicky, Scott, and Claire will always have a special place in my heart. They truly listened and did everything in their power to help me.

The managers from the shops are also a great source of support and guidance, helping each companion thrive in a working environment, always attentive and considerate of our backgrounds.

I wish no one to go through what we companions have gone through, but if someone is in need, I wholeheartedly recommend Emmaus.
