In preparation for our Santa Express event, Lucie the Land Train has undergone a festive makeover and invited children from Newton Primary School to the trial run free of charge.

Once safely onboard, the children from Newton Primary School enjoyed a 40-minute train ride, complete with carol singing, a meet and greet with Steelworks Santa, photos with him, and a festive treat, activity pack and certificate from Santa.

Joining Steelworks Santa was Family Claus – Mrs Claus, who led some traditional carol singing and Chief Elf, Candy Cane, who spread her own brand of Christmas Cheer. Award-winning photographer, Adele Morris Photography also joined the event to capture special photos of the day.

Next up for the Santa Express is our three-day special on Monday 20, Tuesday 21, and Thursday 23 December from 10am until 4pm, starting and finishing at the land train stop, Easterm Promenade. Families will be able to enjoy all of the above, with tickets costing £11 per person.

A portion from each ticket split between Steelworks Santa’s chosen charities; Alzheimer’s Society Cymru and GIST Cancer UK. The remaining proceeds will go to Emmaus South Wales, a charity that supports people out of homelessness.

Tickets must be purchased in advance, with a limited number available. To book your experience, visit www.emmaus.org.uk/south-wales/event/santa-express
