We’re looking for a Reuse Store Manager to develop and lead a team of staff, Companions, and volunteers to successfully deliver social enterprise trading activities in our Caroline Street reuse store in Bridgend.
At Emmaus South Wales, we do things differently. We provide accommodation, support and funded training for as long as needed to help people rebuild their lives after experiencing homelessness. To fund its support and provide meaningful work opportunities for our companions – the name given to our residents – we run several social enterprises in Bridgend and Porthcawl and operate Porthcawl’s land train service. Social enterprise is central to our model, as it provides meaningful work for our companions as well as generating funding to maintain communities.
The Store Manager role will involve ensuring efficient operations and excellent customer service across all activities, alongside maximising sales and controlling costs, and working with senior management and stakeholders to continually improve and develop the store. You will be responsible for a team of between 10 and 20 companions and volunteers.
If you share our ethos, have experience of working in retail, and thrive in a challenging and diverse role, we would love to hear from you. This is a permanent full-time post based in Bridgend.
To apply, please download the job description and person specification below, along with the application form and Equal Opportunities form. Please complete both forms and upload them using our online submission point found here.
