CLOSING DATE: 24 July 2023 LOCATION: Emmaus South Wales SALARY: £21,255 per annum (pro rata) TYPE: Part time (16 hrs/week)

At Emmaus South Wales, we do things a bit differently to most supported housing providers, and we’re looking for a Community Support Worker with the skill and commitment to translate their experience of supporting people to achieve their goals to the Emmaus ethos and way of working.

We work with homeless and excluded adults to overcome their barriers to achieving a happy and stable life. This role is based within our residential community house, facilitating participation, support, and development for up to 24 formerly homeless adults. To find out more about our community and what we offer, visit our ‘live with us‘ page.

The purpose of the role is to contribute to creating and enabling a safe, happy, and successful community through the provision of individual and collective support to Companions. You will ensure that high standards of housing management are maintained, and Companions are supported to comply with the terms of their licence agreements. You will also facilitate and enable Companion development and participate in the smooth running of Nant Lais.

If you share our ethos, have experience of working with excluded and marginalised adults, and thrive in a challenging and diverse role, we would love to hear from you.

This is a permanent part-time post based in Bridgend. You would be expected to work 16 hours per week, with days and times to be agreed, and participate in the 24 hour on-call rota.
