Christmas celebrations were a huge success at Emmaus South Wales in 2019. Emmaus South Wales celebrated successes and looked to continue to grow in 2020; helping more formerly homeless people to rebuild their lives.
The festive season coincided with its Maesteg shop’s fifth anniversary. The Maesteg shop was joyfully decorated to celebrate and staff ran a Christmassy charity raffle and tombola to thank customers for their support. The raffle raised £27.50 and the tombola raised £87.00.
Emmaus South Wales also held its 2019 Strategy Day; staff, trustees, and companions spent the time reflecting on the past year, discussing short-term strategy and how better results can be achieved in the next 6-12 months.
The meeting continued by joining with the Emmaus South Wales volunteers for a fun game of bowling with 40 people in attendance altogether. The team was able to celebrate not only the festive season, but the hard work, commitment, and passion of everyone at Emmaus South Wales.
