We were delighted to welcome the CEO and Operations Manager from Brynawel Rehab in Pontyclun to our Community House this week – and they didn’t come alone! Their visit was made extra special by their two adorable therapy dogs: Harriet and Myfi.
Harriet is a retired Guide Dog with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for affection. She spent the visit spreading calm and comfort, resting her head on laps for gentle fusses and happily joining everyone on group walks. Myfi is a 16-month-old St Bernard whose favourite pastimes include napping, eating, and rolling over for tummy rubs. She brought joy (and a little snoring!) to our day, reminding us to slow down and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.
During the visit, our guests met with our CEO Del Jones, plus several team members, and spent time chatting with our companions, learning more about their experiences and the support we provide. They were also given a full tour of our Supported Accommodation, and we’re proud to say they were genuinely impressed by the incredible work happening here at Emmaus South Wales.
But this visit wasn’t just about introductions – it was about building bridges. Both teams are excited about the possibilities ahead and are looking forward to working together to enhance wellbeing and recovery in our communities.
