On Wednesday 17 March, Emmaus South Wales featured on BBC Morning Live, celebrating the work of our charity in Bridgend and the whole of the Emmaus federation in the UK.

The piece focused on the upcycling projects our companions are working on, from making face masks and rugs out of donated materials to restoring pieces of furniture to be sold in our shops.

Companions Michelle, Roland and Nigel were delighted to be featured explaining how our Emmaus community and social enterprises work, and Michelle shared a moving account of her experience of homelessness.

You can view the piece on BBC iPlayer from 18:33 minutes in.
