Whatever your reason for donating to us, we appreciate it. Whether you’re donating items for re-use, or offering your time, money, or support – thank you! Find out more on our 'Give to us' page.
We couldn't what we do without our fantastic team. Join Emmaus South Wales as a volunteer, trustee, or see our latest paid roles.
In our largest shop, you'll find a selection of fabulous pre-loved furniture, toys, media, books, bric-a-brac, electrical items, new beds and mattresses and new white goods. Donations are accepted every day during opening hours.
Our smaller Bridgend shop on Caroline Street promises an equally fabulous selection of pre-loved furniture, electrical items, clothing, toys and objects to treasure. Donations are accepted from 9:30am Monday to Saturday.
Our Porthcawl shop is the perfect place to find quirky items, furniture, wall art, books, and clothing before enjoying Porthcawl’s seaside scenery on our Land Train in the summer months. Donations are accepted Monday to Friday between 10am and 4pm.
Our Emmaus community is in Nant Lais, Bridgend. When someone joins us after being homeless or insecurely housed, they are offered their own furnished room with an en-suite and the rest of the house is shared. There is a large living room with a games area and a large dining room where the community eats together most days, but the kitchen is open and people can help themselves to food. Whilst living with us, people are given a full-time role in our social enterprise to learn new skills. Check out our Live with us page to learn more, where you’ll find a video tour as well!
We offer an affordable house clearance service with a difference as all proceeds will be used to support people who have experienced homelessness.
We provide professional and affordable house clearance services for both domestic and commercial properties. We aim to reuse much of what we collect, saving items from landfill whilst raising money to sustain our community home in Bridgend.
Let’s face it, we’ve all got too much stuff! Stuff we don’t need, and stuff we’ve got bored of. Give it us and help us spread the love of preloved. There’s not much we can’t accept, however items must be clean, undamaged, and in good, saleable condition – things somebody else is going to love too. Find out more about we can and can't accept on our 'Donate items' page.
We work hard to generate the funds we need to provide our charitable services through our social enterprises. In a typical year we generate around 80% of the funds we need through trading. However, we don’t yet fully meet our own costs and so every donation we receive makes an important contribution to what we are able to achieve.
Companies and organisations are becoming increasingly aware of their community and social responsibilities, and there are a variety of ways your company or organisation can become involved with Emmaus South Wales. Find out more on our partner page or give us a call on 01656 750829.
We couldn’t do what we do without our fantastic volunteers. Our volunteers fulfil vital roles for us throughout the charity and our enterprises and we are always ready to welcome new people to the team. We have a range of roles including sales and stock assistants, van team members, Land Train drivers, PAT testers, community assistant, cooks, cleaners, gardeners, housekeepers and much more.

I lost my family, but here at Emmaus, I now consider all the other companions as family and that means the world to me.
Andy, supported by Emmaus South Wales
If Emmaus hadn’t given me the chance to prove myself, I’m pretty sure I would have ended up dead. Instead, I am developing myself, helping others and giving back to the Emmaus community, which is a really great feeling.
