Through our social enterprise and charitable activities, Emmaus South Manchester is gearing up to open a new residential community to support people affected by homelessness.

Our current range of work and activities is focussed around our Emporium charity store and Community Cafe in Wythenshawe. We collect and receive donated goods which are then offered for sale within our Emporium. The base of our social enterprise also includes workshops where local volunteers process donations and repair, refurbish and upcycle items.

Social enterprise

Our Emporium charity store and social enterprise offers a range of furniture, vintage items, household goods, fashion, toys, bric-a-brac, books, music, and craft supplies along with upcycled and gift items created by local volunteers. All funds raised from the sale of items at our Wythenshawe Emporium help us towards our goal.

Solidarity

Solidarity

Solidarity is one of the core values of Emmaus. Everyone involved at an Emmaus community or group is encouraged to carry out acts of solidarity, to help those less fortunate than themselves. Emmaus South Manchester has embraced solidarity from the start and we carry out a range of charitable activities to support vulnerable people in our local area.
