Make a difference

Emmaus South Manchester is an independent local homelessness charity, working to establish a new Emmaus community. Our aim is to support people who experience homelessness and poverty in our local area. Much of our current activity is around our social enterprise and charity store in Wythenshawe.

Local volunteers provide help and support in various areas of charity and social enterprise operations. Volunteers play a vital role in the life of our charity, helping Emmaus South Manchester to grow and moving us closer to achieving our goal.

Why volunteer with Emmaus?

When you join as an Emmaus volunteer, you will be given an induction when you start and a member of staff will support you throughout your time as a volunteer. As well as being an opportunity to develop your skills and experience for a worthwhile cause, volunteering with Emmaus will allow you to meet new people from a variety of backgrounds.

All Emmaus volunteers are offered travel expenses, e-learning, training and development opportunities to build their knowledge and skills. To find out more, please email [email protected] to arrange a friendly chat about the roles on offer.
