The Emmaus Preston Megastore is now open with Covid-19 safety measures in place.
The largest Emmaus Preston store and the largest charity shop in the country is a real treasure trove of quality used furniture, new furniture, new white goods appliance, new beds and great value household goods.
Located in a former B and Q close to Preston city centre, our Emmaus Preston Megastore stocks a wide selection of household furniture items, office furniture, electrical appliances, books, music and bric-a-brac. Within the store you will find 100s of sofas, storage units, brand new beds, new and donated bedroom furniture, dining tables and chairs, desks and cabinets, along with unique vintage and retro pieces.
Our Emmaus Preston Megastore is located just off the A6 (North Road) and only 12 minutes’ drive from junction 31 of the M6. We have an on-site customer car-park and offer a delivery service for larger items purchased from the store within 30 miles and can arrange shipping if you are outside our delivery area or simply take it away yourself.
All the money generated at the Emmaus Preston Megastore is used to support our community of 26 formerly homeless people.
To ensure the safety of our team and all visitors, we have carried out a risk assessment for reopening and put in place measures to minimise the risk of virus transmission. Firstly, if you are showing any coronavirus symptoms or feel unwell in any way, please do not visit our charity store.
To ensure that physical distancing rules are maintained, our team will be monitoring the number of people within our store. We are limiting the amount of people in store at any one time so you may be required to queue prior to entry. If you are visiting as a family, please stick together and ensure that your child or children stay close at all times.
Everyone is required to wear a face covering and sanitise their hands on entry at our sanitiser stations. Please handle items as infrequently as possibly, especially those you do not intend to buy. Stick to the directional arrows around the store and ensure that you maintain at least a 2 metre distance from others at all times. When purchasing items, we are now only accepting card and contactless payments – no cash. Delivery service will be available for larger purchases but some new controls will apply.
