Emmaus communities provide a home and meaningful work for people who have experienced homelessness, helping them to find a way to move on with their lives.
From house clearances to getting involved with the wider community, we offer a wide range of services.
We’re pleased to bring you our Spring 2020 Newsletter.
As you’ll see, we’ve drastically changed this edition in response to the outbreak of COVID-19 and the resulting crisis. We hope you enjoy reading about how Emmaus Oxford is working to keep our homeless companions, staff, volunteers, trustees and customers all safe and well.
24 March 2020
Following the Government’s announcement yesterday, our charity store will close with immediate effect until further notice.
All collections and deliveries, as well as our House Clearance service are currently suspended. We are unable to receive dropped-off donated goods for resale at this time.
Our eBay and Depop shops are also currently closed but we are looking into the possibility of reopening these in future.
Our community will continue to support formerly homeless people to rebuild their lives, and the wellbeing of our companions, staff, volunteers and local community will always be our priority. We are really grateful for your support during this uncertain time and we will keep you updated.
If you feel able to help us through this period by donating to our Emergency Appeal online, it would be very much appreciated.
Stay safe everyone.
