Donations are essential to our work – we accept donations of furniture such as beds, wardrobes, sets of drawers, cabinets, chairs, tables, and so on.  We also accept donations of small electricals, vinyl, books, DVDs, CDs, pictures, mirrors, clothes, shoes, and bric-a-brac such as vases, pottery, kitchen equipment.

Call us at Emmaus Furniture Mine on 01782 846111 to arrange FREE collection of the larger items.  Or please visit the Hanley store to donate in person to see the largest furniture and household charity shop in North Staffordshire!  We are open SIX days a week, Monday to Saturday.  Find our address & map here.

As well as our shop and warehouse, we also do:

  • Referrals – these are for social housing tenants to provide reuse furniture, and if approved new white goods, to over 800 local households every year enabling new tenants to turn a house into a home
  • Solidarity Donations – where a tenant cannot get a referral but has no means to pay for furniture, we can offer a soidarity donation to help them create a home and a new beginning
  • Bulky Waste – we run the bulky waste services for Newcastle Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council which is a chargeable disposal service for large, non-reusable items such as sofas or white goods.  Call us on 01782 846111 to discuss.
  • Deliveries – we offer a delivery service across North Staffs which, for sales over £50, is completely free, but for smaller sales there is a small fee applied (£5 up to 5 miles; £10 up to 10 miles, £15 up to 15 miles).

What we do

Our 'parent' community

It was the trustees and staff at Emmaus Bolton who chose to use their experiences to develop and mentor a ‘daughter’ Emmaus community in the Potteries. Currently several Emmaus Bolton trustees are also trustees of Emmaus North Staffs to guide and support our development, for which we are extremely grateful.
