Shoppers visiting our Potteries Centre charity shop are invited to show off their musical talents for a brand new competition.

Four years ago Emmaus North Staffs received a fascinating donation of a high quality piano. The piano became an instant attraction, not just for staff and volunteers, but for customers too, and now, at our new Potteries Centre shop, it is as popular as ever.

Since we have moved into the Potteries Centre we have seen more and more people coming in and having a play. A few regular customers like to pop in either on their way to or from work, and spend a few minutes playing a tune – it’s great and it really seems to cheer people up too.

We’ve now launched a Piano Competition which will run throughout August 2022.

If you’d like to take part, simply drop in and play. We will ask your permission to record a short video of you playing, and we will then share these on Facebook and Instagram. Winners will be chosen based on a  public vote and interaction on our channels.

Piano playing is great and we would like to see as many customers as possible taking part. We have two categories – one for under 18s and one for over 18s – and there are a range of prizes on offer.

To follow the competition and to find out more visit Emmaus North Staffs on Facebook: www.facebook.com/EmmausNorthStaffs and Instagram: @emmausnorthstaffs

Emmaus North Staffs is also welcoming prize donations from local businesses for the Piano Competition. Anyone who would like to donate a prize is asked to contact John Webbe on 01782 846111 or email [email protected]
