We’re closing our Etruria warehouse base as we prepare for a bigger and newer premises nearby.
The second-hand furniture shop, the Emporium in Etruria and has been operating since May 2022. We are set to transfer to a newly redeveloped site at New Hall Street, in Hanley soon.
We support 850 local households each year by supplying furniture items to those who cannot afford them. This can include beds, settees, chairs, tables as well as wardrobes, draws and appliances. With plans to have more furniture stock available, we needed a newer more spacious venue and will set up a new home in what was the former GO Outdoors and Tesco building.
Executive Lead of Emmaus North Staffs, John Webbe, said: “We have enjoyed a good couple of years in Etruria with our emporium, but now we are moving to a site which has undergone major development. There is also ample parking and loading areas surrounding the property which is really what we also need for our vans and customers.”
Emmaus North Staffs Charity Emporium, in Etruria will be shut from Monday 23 September. An expected opening date from Monday 7 October is planned for the new site, at New Hall Street, which will be open to the public.
