We’re pleased to share the news that our ‘Heart of the Tyne’ range of handmade Christmas decorations are now back on sale, for a second year running.
Back by popular demand and with new and improved products for Christmas 2021, each individual piece has been handmade in South Shields by an Emmaus North East Companion, who has previously experienced homelessness. All items in the range are made using reclaimed wood, so you can hang a sustainable piece of the North East in your home. Products are now available to buy via the Emmaus North East Etsy page.
100% of money raised from sales will go back into Emmaus North East, helping to fight against homelessness in the North East this Christmas.
The product range includes a ‘new for 2021’ Christmas decoration craft pack, which provides festive fun for kids and adults alike. Each craft box includes 3 wooden stocking decorations, 3 bell decorations, 3 cracker decorations, ribbon for hanging on trees, a 12-colour paint pot and 2 paint brushes. All decorations are the perfect size for a Christmas tree. The craft box costs £19.95 and includes free delivery.
Also in the range is a collection of beautiful handmade wooden stars which make the perfect addition to your Christmas decorations, but could also be hung all year round. The stars are 20 inches in size and come with 5 or 6 points. You can purchase the stars with or without twinkling fairy lights.
You can expect to receive your orders in beautiful and sustainable packaging, with fully recyclable box and paper shredding. The stars would make a beautiful gift for any loved on this Christmas.
Emmaus North East has a community in South Shields which is home to 16 individuals who have experienced homelessness in their lives. Once they become an Emmaus companion, they are offered safe and secure accommodation alongside meaningful work and valuable training. Joining Emmaus is a hand up rather than a hand out, and an opportunity for individuals to make a fresh start in life.
