Emmaus North East is excited to congratulate our wonderful companion, Tony, for crossing the finish line at the Great North Run! Tony took on this impressive challenge to raise funds and awareness for our charity, and we couldn’t be prouder of his achievement.

Tony’s personal story with Emmaus North East is both moving and motivating. After finding support through our community, Tony’s journey has been one of growth and positive change. His participation in the Great North Run not only showcases his commitment but also highlights the impact Emmaus can have in turning lives around.

Tony said: “I’m lucky but Emmaus North East needs funds to help more people off the streets. Sadly, we live in an age when so many of us are only a pay day or two away from finding ourselves in a similar situation. I have met such a wide range of people within Emmaus, from so many different walks of life.”

We’re delighted to report that Tony successfully completed the 13.1-mile race this weekend, and his efforts have already made a significant difference. A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has supported Tony’s fundraising campaign. Whether you donated online, in person, or sent cheques, your generosity is greatly appreciated and helps us continue our vital work.

Tony, your dedication and hard work has inspired us all. We are so grateful for your commitment to Emmaus North East and the difference you’ve made through your run.

If Tony’s achievement has inspired you, we’d love to hear from you! Whether you’re interested in fundraising, volunteering, or supporting our cause in any other way, please get in touch. Together, we can continue making a positive impact on the lives of people who have experienced homelessness. Find out more  here.
