Who tests electrical items?

Thanks to the Emmaus UK Companion Training Fund, we can offer companions the opportunity to take their Level 1 and Level 2 PAT testing qualifications. While at Emmaus, it is companions who safety and function test all electrical items. Therefore, this is giving them the chance to learn a new skill and gain work experience whilst also helping the raise funds for our charity and the place they call home.

The Emmaus UK Companion Training Fund helps communities to provide a variety of training opportunities for people that are receiving support. This, combined with a stable home with no time limit and meaningful work in our social enterprise, helps people to regain their confidence and self-esteem and also gives them experience to add to their CVs.
