Emmaus supports people to work their way out of homelessness.
Emmaus provides a home and meaningful work for as long as someone needs it.
Join our Board of Trustees and use your entrepreneurial flair to support people out of homelessness.
Emmaus is a homelessness charity with a difference, providing more than just a bed for the night.
Companions, as the people we support are known as, are offered a home for as long as they need it, as well as meaningful work at our social enterprise where we recycle and sell pre-loved furniture and other household goods, donated by local people. This approach gives companions the opportunity to take stock of their lives, deal with any issues they may face, reconnect with loved ones and rebuild the self-esteem that is often destroyed when they become homeless.
We are always interested in hearing from people who want to use their skills and experience to help a local charity. If you are interested, please contact us on 01986 895444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
