A sculpture created by companions here at Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney has gone on display at the Raveningham Sculpture Trail, an outdoor exhibition featuring sculptures by artists from around the UK.

Opening to the public on July 31st, the popular Raveningham Sculpture Trail is in its fifth year and is set to be the biggest one yet.  Over 60 artists from Cornwall, Wales, London and East Anglia all have sculptures on display alongside our sculpture which has been named “Home” by the companions who created it.

This is the first sculpture created by the Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney companions and depicts a house encased in an apple tree leaf. It was created in our Orchard Forge under the guidance of leading metalwork sculpture Leigh Dyer, and funded by donations from our supporters and funding from Arts Council England.

The design was chosen and created by the Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney companions as it represents the sense of home they feel living as part of the community, and the peaceful rural surroundings of the former All Hallows Convent where the charity is based.

The trail is open daily 10 – 5pm throughout August. Visit raveninghamsculpturetrail.com to book a timeslot to visit with a group of up to six people. Pay for additional adults when you arrive, adults £6, under 18s free.
