We are looking for an experienced Fundraiser to join our awesome team!

The post holder will be responsible for raising funds for Emmaus Norfolk and Waveney through a variety of channels, grant applications, events, individual giving and a major donor programme. You will also be responsible for developing and embedding good fundraising practice across our charity for companions (our residents), volunteers, staff and the board of trustees.

We appreciate that you may not have in depth experience in all areas of fundraising but are looking for  someone who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and jump in and utilise the resources available to help you maximise fundraising potential.

Overall purpose of the job: 

To raise funds for our charity to complete an exciting large capital project as well as a number of smaller projects. This will be done through a combination of grant applications, individual giving, a major donor appeal and events.

You will develop a framework to deliver good practice and maximise fundraising potential involving the whole community from companions to trustees along with implementing processes for capturing data and evaluating effectively.

Key Accountabilities: 

  • To work with the CEO to review the overall fundraising strategy and deliver on an action plan
  • To oversee the processes of evaluation and reporting
  • To oversee the fundraising for the large capital project
  • Support the Marketing, Events & Comms Coordinator to implement a year-round calendar of events and activities which add interest and further income, driving footfall and developing our site into a destination venue
  • To write a number of small/medium grant applications
  • To lead on the major donor appeal with support from the Fundraisers consultancy service
  • To lead on our Room for a Room appeal enabling the refurbishment of 23 former nuns cells
  • To set up opportunities at multiple points whether onsite, online or at events for people to donate
  • To lead on a number of fundraising events and initiatives alongside the Marketing, Comms and Events Coordinator
  • To develop digital fundraising including our Website, Gift Aid upsell, Facebook fundraising, donation stations, Round-up etc – creating a unique experience for donors
  • To research and implement a donor database (CRM) to support new donors and retain existing ones
  • To work with the retail team and finance administrator to support with Gift Aid processing
