Paula is the Labour MP for Liverpool Wavertree and Co-Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Ending Homelessness. She previously served as the Shadow Minister for Homelessness and Rough Sleeping. With nearly 30 years in local government, Paula is dedicated to improving public services and tackling homelessness.
Jay gained national recognition during the COVID pandemic as the creator and host of Jay’s Virtual Pub Quiz, which raised over £1.4 million for UK charities. His efforts earned him an MBE and a Guinness World Record. Jay is a regular on BBC Radio 2, using his platform to raise awareness of homelessness, which he has experienced himself.
Charlotte Talbott took up the role of Chief Executive at Emmaus UK in September 2021. Charlotte’s career has been focused on drug and alcohol recovery, homelessness and criminal justice. She joined Emmaus from The Connection at St-Martin-in-the-Field where she was the Deputy Chief Executive and had been leading on a transformational change programme.
Sir Terry became president of Emmaus UK shortly after his release from captivity in 1991. He had spent 1,763 days in captivity, the first four years of which were spent in solitary confinement. Sir Terry’s experience in captivity gives him a great insight into the misery, isolation, fear, boredom and despair that many homeless people go through.
Jeremy is Head of National Partnerships at Homeless Link. Jeremy has held various third sector contract management and local authority commissioning roles. He is passionate about connecting people and communities in collaborating to tackle local homelessness challenges.
Ruth is Policy Manager at Crisis. She leads the charity’s work to develop policy solutions that will end homelessness. She has authored policy reports on migrant homelessness and early interventions to prevent homelessness. Ruth has also worked in policy at the National Housing Federation and in a frontline housing role at a large local authority.
Tony is Deputy CEO and Director of Services at Single Homeless Project. Toni is responsible for services that include accommodation, outreach and housing first services for rough sleepers and people experiencing multiple disadvantage, as well as services for care experienced young people, The North London TST, and a variety of borough-wide homelessness prevention services.
Robyn is Senior Policy Partnerships and Campaigns Manager at the anti-poverty organisation, Trussell Trust, where she co-leads the Guarantee Our Essentials campaign. Robyn has worked as a passionate campaigner for social justice in a range of organisations, as well as co-directing IC Change, a volunteer-led, grassroots campaign for the UK to ratify the Istanbul Convention on violence against women.
Donna joined Worthing Homes as Chief Executive in January 2023, having previously been Chief Executive at First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO). With an extensive background in social housing, coupled with a real passion for delivering great customer experience, she ensures customers have a voice and an impact on influencing and shaping the organisation.
