The Collectables Room at Emmaus Mossley is a treasure trove of antiques, ornate items, ceramics, silverware, crystal, jewellery and retro finds.
If you’re looking for a specific item, a unique gift or something special for your home then there’s a good chance you will find it in our Collectables Room. The room is located within our Secondhand Superstore and open on Tuesdays and Fridays (10am – 3pm).
Inside our Collectables Room you will find an assortment of special items that have been donated to Emmaus Mossley. This includes small antique furniture items, ornate clocks, dressing mirrors, complete tea sets, flatware, barometers, antique fishing equipment, film cameras, retro lamps, pictures and handmade African and tribal art.
Products range in period from Edwardian, Victorian and Art-Deco right up to the 60s, 70s and more modern collectables. We have a regular stock of antique and collectable items by Beswick, Nao, Royal Dalton and Coalport. We also have a wide range of jewellery items including hallmarked gold and silver items, vintage costume jewellery, antique jewellery, classical brooches and necklaces, rings, watches and cuff-links.
Our hidden treasure trove
As with all donations, we have an obligation to our supporters to get a fair price for the items that they have donated to us. The reason that people donate items is to help us raise the money we need to support a community of formerly homeless people. Whilst you can still be sure to find a bargain in the Collectables Room, the prices are slightly higher than you would expect in other areas of the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore.
Our Collectables Room is run by Andy, one of our local volunteers who is very knowledgeable and always willing to help you find that special item.
