Emmaus Mossley is due to launch gift vouchers and a unique greeting card to support the work of the charity.

The Emmaus Mossley greeting card will be available to purchase from the Secondhand Superstore in December with all the proceeds from the sale of the card going to the charity. The card will feature original artwork by local artist Liz Ackerley, based at Woodend Mill.

Gift vouchers will also be available for the first time for those looking for an alternative present for supporters of Emmaus Mossley.

Alison Hill, Director of Emmaus Mossley, said: “Both the greeting card and gift vouchers are items that our supporters have requested for a number of years. The gift vouchers will be available for purchase in any amount and can be redeemed in all areas of our Secondhand Superstore. They’re the perfect present for anyone who loves visiting Emmaus Mossley.”

The funds needed for the production of the greeting card have been donated by a supporter of Emmaus Mossley. This will enable all the money raised from the sale of the cards to go directly to support the people who live and work at Emmaus.

Emmaus Mossley supports 26 formerly homeless people by providing them with a home and work in a community setting. The charity runs a social enterprise in Mossley, selling donated and upcycled furniture, household goods, clothes, bric-a-brac and vintage wares.
