Join us on Thursday 8 May, after hours, for an evening of sparking creation and conversation at The Social Studio!

This month’s activity will be ‘Cassette Tapes & Paints’ – an upbeat and colourful opportunity to turn something old into new, as inspired by artist and all-things-retro enthusiast Sophie Carter, also known as Wooden Flamingo.

To celebrate the first birthday of our Sound & Vision, you’ll be going back to the 80s with a unique twist, by revamping cassette tapes with a mixture of paint and paint-pens.

You don’t need to be an artiste or an 80s kid to join in – this informal event is an opportunity to try something new, relax, meet new people and have a bit of fun.

Limited tickets are available to purchase online via Eventbrite. We’ll provide all the equipment and encouragement you will need… all you need to bring is yourself! To keep you fueled, Lucie’s Café will be serving hot drinks, soft drinks, homemade cakes and snacks during the event.

The Social Studio will take place on Thursday 8 May, 6:30pm – 8pm, at the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH.

What is The Social Studio?

The Social Studio is a monthly social evening hosted at Emmaus Mossley. Taking place on the first Thursday of each month, between 6:30pm-8pm, each event will revolve around a different hands-on activity, which can be done both individually or in collaboration with others. We’re keen to give you a taste of something new, an opportunity to relax, improve your well-being, and meet new people!

Through opening after our usual opening hours, we hope to welcome new members to our community, alongside our supporters who may struggle to visit us during the day.  The Social Studio events will be ticketed and you can purchase tickets online, through Eventbrite.
