After careful consideration, we have taken the decision to postpone our 2020 Community Celebration & Clearance Sale scheduled for Saturday 21 March. Our past sale events have proved to be very busy, with people travelling from far and wide to visit our Secondhand Superstore. Bringing lots of people together on the same day does not feel like the right thing to do under the current circumstances.
The health and welfare of our companions, volunteers and staff, along with our supporters, customers and local residents is of upmost importance. We do hope you can understand this decision and will continue to support our charity over the coming weeks and months ahead.
The Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore will remain open as usual. Our warehouse improvement project is still imminent, so we really do need to clear some space. Instead of having a clearance sale on one dedicated day, we’ll be spreading out the items and price reductions over the next few weeks. As ever, keep your eyes peeled on our Emmaus Mossley Facebook page and Instagram account for updates and a flavour of our current stock.
Join us to welcome in the first day of Spring by celebrating our local community and bagging some bargains in support of Emmaus Mossley.
We’re teaming up with local organisations, artists and musicians to host a fun-filled day for second-hand treasure hunters of all ages. In between a good charity shop rummage, you’ll have the chance to learn about exciting local projects, listen to live music, take part in some interesting activities and keep the kids entertained for a few hours.
All corners of the Emmaus Mossley Secondhand Superstore will be stocked with great value goods, themed areas and unique displays to inspire and excite. If you’re looking for a vision of the past, be sure to check out our local interest display with history books, pictures, music and more. If it’s weird and wonderful Emmaus items you love, our Scrap Shed will be the place to be. Step inside to explore our range of stylish vintage and retro goods, fine furniture and long-lost treasure.
In preparation for our upcoming warehouse improvement project, the pressure is on to clear our stock and make space for the works to commence. This event will kick-start our clearance sale of all sorts of dusty warehouse furniture finds.
We will also have the Collectables Room open, displays from our Upcycling volunteers, charity tombola and Lucie’s Café serving a great selection of food, drinks, cakes and other light bites.
